The Institute of chartered Accountants of india(icai) is a statutory body set up under the chartered accounts act,1949 enacted by the parliament of india to impart education,Tranning and regulate the chartered accountancy profession.
The instiute has its headquater at new delhi with 5 regional councils and regional offices at mumbai. Chennai, kanpur, kolkata and new delhi and 126 branches all over the country.
The office of central india regional council (circ) is situated at kanpur having 39 branches, 8 CPE chapters, and 35 CPE study groups. It consists of 7 states viz. UP, Uttaranchal, MP, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, jharkhand and rajasthan.
